Turn up the volume of your production

The SOLJET EJ-640 has been developed with cost-efficient high-performance productivity at the forefront. Coupled with the reliability and durability of Roland DG technology, the EJ-640’s sturdy construction delivers exceptional quality output across a wide range of applications including outdoor and indoor signs, banners, posters, wall and vehicle wraps and much more. Maximise your profitability with low running costs and high volume production.

Impressive productivity and stunning quality output

Staggered print heads cover a large print width for increased production and are arranged in a mirrored formation to reduce the chance of chromatic banding. Dual eight-channel Piezo inkjet heads house 180 nozzles per channel while the patent-pending Roland Intelligent Pass Control system controls dot placement between passes to produce exceptional solid colours and photographic image quality. Variable dot control achieves smooth gradations and deep image saturation on a broad range of media.

The advanced adjustable media feed which enables accurate centring of media and smooth, precise transit through the printer and the front mounted take-up unit keep pace with high-speed production.

Rugged construction for stability and durability

The SOLJET EJ-640’s strong, sturdy chassis copes well with high production speeds and the large diameter grit roller aids media transit through the printer. The EJ-640 is able to support heavy roll media up to 40kg and features a front-mounted take-up unit. The three-part patent-pending wiper system is designed to significantly reduce build-up around the edges of the print head, decreasing wear and tear and prolonging its life.

Quick-dry finish for efficient production

The EJ-640 dries prints quickly, even in high-speed mode, for immediate finishing, installation or collection by the take-up system.

The integrated tri-heater system features:

* Pre-heater to improve media receptiveness
* Print heater to accelerate ink fastness and brightness
* Dryer to accelerate drying and ensure greater productivity and scratch resistance

An optional dryer/blower unit evenly dries large prints and enhances image saturation at high speed.

Unattended long-run production with peace of mind

The Roland Ink System ensures stable printing with one litre airtight sealed pouches and in four-colour mode, provides two litres per colour. The proprietary Roland Ink Switching System automatically switches to the backup ink pouch when the primary pouch runs out to enable continuous printing.

While you’re away from the printer the Roland Printer Assist iPad*app allows remote management of common printer functions and Roland OnSupport™ enables remote tracking of production status with automated e-mail notifications.

Use the Predictive Ink Calculator in VersaWorks Dual to monitor ink supply for the jobs you've posted to the queue.
