The
GFO can have a roll-up table like the table shown on the above picture.
It can be pulled out of the way when running the optional roll to roll
system. A cut sheet of printed transfer paper is placed on the table
with the design facing up. The cut fabric part (front, sleeve, collar,
etc) is the placed over the design. Typically the design is larger than
the cut piece and tissue ("blotting") paper is used to capture the
over-printed and protect the felt belt.
Once the cut parts are in
position on the table, the paper is moved forward onto the Teflon belt
which automatically feeds into the heat press. The part and paper exit
the press beneath the Teflon conveyor. Here an air stripper bar is used
to positively separate the paper from the printed part. This stripping
device eliminates all possibilities for paper shifting causing a "ghost"
image. The used printed paper exits in the front side and the printed
fabric part is carried to the rear of the machine on the exit conveyor.
